	I am a traditional oil painter based in New York City and Sherman, Connecticut. I have been painting most of my life and specializing in portraits for the last 10 years.		Most recently, I studied at the National Academy of Design with Sam Adoquei, a world renowned portrait painter. Prior to the Academy, I also studied Fine Arts at Queens College, The Art Student's League and Marymount College.

	I have a studio on East 94th Street in Manhattan. Subjects are welcome to sit at the studio for portraits. More often, my clients, who don't have the time or inclination to pose, sit briefly for photographs.		I prefer taking these photos myself, but I paint from existing photos, too. I have also painted from antique pictures, such as the two paintings to the left.

	My other great love is travel, and I take my oils with me whenever possible. I recently returned from Cortona, Italy.		I also enjoy landscape painting throughout the French countryside.

In my travels and adoring the theater, I became aware of the Edinburgh Festival, and in 2004 established an annual award to bring plays from the Festival Fringe to New York City.

My work is featured in collections in England, Belgium, Germany, Argentina and Monaco, as well as in the United States.
